Celebrate May’s gorgeous blooms in the style of the Dutch Masters by escaping with us to our studio. The peaceful walled courtyard gardens of Caherlag House are the perfect backdrop as you learn the design fundamentals and eco friendly mechanics needed to create a garden inspired Large Scale Statement Urn Arrangement.
Using an assortment of the season’s best fresh and dried flowers, foliage, grasses and fruits in a vibrant colour palette, we will create an opulent and rich statement urn arrangement, in the style of the Dutch Masters, using foam free and reusable mechanics.
Once created we will walk through the steps of staging the urn as we create various scenes, incorporating natural and man made props.

We will then discuss and implement photographic best practices to capture inspiring and artistic images.
All images we take will be yours for use in your portfolios, proposals and social media.
Large Urn, tools, mechanics and lists of flowers/ supplies will be provided and your arrangement will be yours to take home in a reusable urn liner. Lunch and refreshments are included and will be served each day.
This is an intimate course with a limit of 4 people to ensure each student has plenty of one to one time and support.

- Please plan arrive 10 minutes early each day to get settled.
- Tea, coffee, refreshments and lunch will be served each day.
- Please dress in layers as is weather appropriate, our workshops are held in our outdoor purpose built and covered pergola. Flooded with natural light, yet still providing lots of fresh air and ventilation, it’s an ideal activity space. An apron will be provided.
- Wear comfy shoes for standing and ones you might be happy to wear whilst cutting flowers in the field, should they be available.
