Are you an aspiring floral designer or floral professional looking to incorporate a fresh, inspired, natural and design led approach to your wedding creations?
At our 4 day hands on intensive course, “The Essential Wedding Collection” we will gather to discuss design & composition, flower selection & care as well as the techniques, foam-free floral mechanics and finishing touches used to create lush, spilly and dreamy wedding florals.
We will spend our time over these 4 days immersed in creative conversations and application as I guide you through my techniques; from choosing product that lends itself to natural floral design, to colour choices and placement as well as creating movement in your work.
We will incorporate as many blooms as you possible grown here in our courtyard garden and specialty cut flower field and you will have the opportunity to select yours and cut right from the field.
Working as individuals and together you will create the following:
- Horizontal Bridal Bouquet- This style is more oblong than perfectly round. Flowers are layered creating dimension, movement and whimsey
- Modern Cascading Bouquet- A more refined version of the classic featuring lush florals spilling from the front whilst incorporating lots of layers for dimension and whimsey. (Both bouquets will be finished with hand dyed silk ribbons)
- A selection of wearable flowers
- Flowery Compote Bowl
- Large Scale Urn Arrangement
- Floral Installation
Along the way, using your I-Phone/camera phone, each day we will take time to discuss best practice for styling, capturing and editing images of your work. All images we take will be yours for use in your portfolios, proposals and social media.
A framed certificate of completion will be issued.
All flowers, vessels, tools, mechanics and lists of flowers/ supplies are included. Lunch and refreshments are included and will be served each day.
This is an intimate course with a limit of 4 people to ensure each student has plenty of one to one time and support.

- Please plan arrive 10 minutes early each day to get settled.
- Tea Coffee and Lunch will be served each day.
- Please dress in layers as is weather appropriate, our workshops are held in our outdoor purpose built and covered pergola. Flooded with natural light, yet still providing lots of fresh air and ventilation, it’s an ideal activity space. An apron will be provided.
- Please wear comfy shoes for standing and ones you might be happy to wear whilst cutting flowers in the field, should they be available.
- All flowers, mechanics, vessels (with the exception of the large urn), beverages and refreshments are included in the course price. Tools are provided
